A HUMAN rights lawyer who was left pregnant at the age of 14 by her mother's boyfriend has revealed how the sick child abuser kept a trophy of the first time he raped her.
Kim Fawcett, 29, from Bristol, was 10 years old when her parents divorced after her father put her mother through a string of affairs.
Kim Fawcett has bravely decided to speak out about her traumatic and haunting childhood in a bid to help others
So when, at the age of 12, her mum's new partner Robert Stuart McClelland came into her life and lavished her with gifts, she could not have been happier.
However after a year of grooming her, Kim found herself being regularly raped and abused by McClelland.
It began when she had a falling out with her mum shortly after her 13th birthday, and everyone agreed that she should stay at McClelland's for a few days - a house located one hour away.
Writing about her experiences in a blog for Cosmopolitan, Kim said: "Stuart gave me a big bottle of Smirnoff Ice and I was drinking it, feeling very grown up. I’d never really had alcohol before. We were sitting in his living room on two leather armchairs side-by-side, and I remember it being very dark.

"The lights were off; I think we must have been watching television. Stuart looked at me and told me to come and sit on his knee, and I was struck by fear."
She added: "He grabbed at my breasts through my clothes and continued encouraging me to drink more. I was protesting - but weakly. I didn’t really know what was going on."
Kim eventually managed to escape and said she was going to bed - but McClelland followed her upstairs and raped her.
The next morning she noticed something that still haunts her.Speaking of the first time she was sexually abused, she said: 'I didn’t really know what was going on'
"I noticed he had kept the Smirnoff Ice bottle I’d been drinking from the night before on the top of his fridge. Looking more closely, I saw he had etched the previous day’s date into the plastic branding.
"He was displaying it like some kind of trophy, although I didn’t really understand that at the time."
McClelland, who worked as a truck driver, boasted to his pals about taking her virginity in front of her.
He would also often pick her up from school so he could rape her, and would manufacture any opportunity to be alone with Kim so he could abuse her.
It wasn't until she became pregnant and went for an abortion that she managed to speak to a family member about what had happened.
McClelland was arrested in 2003 and later convicted of indecent assault, sexual intercourse with a girl under 16 and buggery at Chester Crown Court.
"My mum insists she never knew what was going on," Kim says.
"Looking back, I realise how manipulative he was, how he could so easily have pulled the wool over her eyes."
But for years after, Kim blamed no one for what happened but herself.
