CROWDFUNDING APPEAL Devastated fiancée of amateur footballer who died after collapsing during match left struggling to pay £60k mortgage after he was denied life insurance A fundraising page has been set up to help Laura Davies raise £60,000 to help pay her bills after Mitchell Joseph, 33, died suddenly while playing football last Saturday

Well-wishers have already raised £15,000 to help Laura with her mortgage after her fiance's sudden deathNow the family of the 33-year-old St Joseph's FC player have launched a campaign to help his widowed fiancée, Laura Davies.
The carpenter and site foreman by trade was planning to marry 28-year-old Laura in Ibiza next year after he proposed in Paris.
The amateur footballer's life insurance was refused before his shock death, leaving Laura struggling to pay off the mortgage, Wales Online reports.
He was diagnosed with a heart murmur last year and had surgery to correct it.
As a result the life insurance was refused so friends and family are trying to raise £60,000 to pay off the couple's mortgage.
Well-wishers have already raised over £15,000 within 24 hours of launching the JustGiving page.
The fund states: “We want to raise £60,000 to help pay off Mitchell and Laura’s mortgage, something which would have been sorted if his life insurance policy was accepted.
“We realise this sounds ambitious, but we’ve already seen an unimaginable amount of donations and all we need is 2000 people, that’s less that per cent of the population of Swansea to donate just £30.
“This will change Laura’s future forever and be a lasting legacy for Mitchell and his family.
“We can’t make her dream of marrying the man she loved come true.
“But we can ensure she doesn’t have to suffer even more than she already has.”
